Go Miami Heat!!

As most of you know the Heat are playing for the championship game tonight!!! Zara and I are so exited I had to make her a Heat onesie.

I am not much of a sewing person. So I use Heat and Bond and my glue gun for mostly everything! It's so simple. For Zara's first Halloween I made her a sushi costume using  Heat n Bond.

You will need any onesie. Felt, scissors, heat and bond, glue gun (optional), wax or parchment paper and a iron.

First you cut the heat n bond in the shape of your felt. Make sure it is cut smaller than the actual felt size.

Next you are going to iron the heat n bond to your felt. Make sure the rough part of the heat n bond is facing the back of your felt or material.

Next you trace or freehand whatever you are going to put on your shirt. In this case I am writing GO HEAT! Then you can cut out the letters.

If it is letters make sure to draw them backwards so that when you cut and attach it they can face the correct way.

Last you take of the heat n bond and attach to your onesie. After you attach it get wax paper and put it over the letters. Then iron one more time. And tada! You have an adorable team onesie!

Lets go HEAT!!!!!

First Fathers Day

This Father's Day is extra special because its Z's first Father's Day for her Daddy and Abuelo! I made Zara a cape out of an old T-Shirt so that she can be a superhero just like Daddy!

All you need is an old big T-Shirt any color, scissors, felt, glue gun, felt glue (optional), marker or pen, and stencils (optional). Velcro

First, you cut of the sleeves.

Next, you cut down the sides so that you can open it up like this.

Next you cut around the neck so that your T-shirt looks like this. Make sure to leave some if the shoulder area.

Next you cut the sides of your cape until you have the cut you desire and cut length if needed.

Next you cut the neck area and measure your child's neck . You can then glue Velcro to it.

Next you cut any shape using a piece a felt I chose a heart. You can also do triangle, square, etc..

Next you cut your child's initial with another piece of color felt. I used a stencil   But you can freehand it.

I made it in pink but then changed my mind as usual...

Last you can add any other embellishments. I added a bow because Z always wears her bows. I also made her a matching headband .

And there you go! We made it for our Fathers Day theme "Super Heroes".

We made daddy a big card with Zara's hand prints.

Then took daddy and Abuelo for a SUPER lunch date!

We decided to make Abuelo a candy card.

Why do the grow up so fast?!

We started of our day at our usual Friday spot with stroller mommas fitness!! Zara always in style even when she's working out

We had a tough workout today running up and down the hill ! Go Mammas Go!

After our workout we went to Dunkin Donuts to get Donuts for Zara's 10 month cake! ( and yes we are those parents who celebrate every month). I like to do something different every bday.

So I bought sprinkled donuts and I had the candles already. ( fyi Walmart 97 cents!)

Apple Juice Baked Chicken

This month has been fun Zara had her monthly Board Meeting.
She was making sure everyone was in attendance. There were several topics at the meeting. One very important topic included Food Menu for this month.

This is why I am going to give you a simple recipe for easy and delicious baked roasted chicken. This is by far Zara's favorite! It's so juicy and easy for babies to eat. I call it Z's Roasted Chicken .
You will need:
1. Boneless skinless chicken breast
2. Your favorite apple juice. I use Motts apple juice since Z loves it!
3. Aluminum Foil
4. Salt & Pepper
5. Baking sheet

While you are preparing your chicken preheat you oven to Roast at 400 degrees.

First you wash chicken breast and pat dry. Put chicken breast on top of aluminum foil. Then grab a spoon and pour Apple juice on both sides of chicken. ( this will make your chicken so juicy and moist.)

Next, add Salt to both sides of chicken. I personally use Sea Salt.
Then add pepper to both sides.

Once this is done wrap up the chicken.

Then wrap it one more time to make sure no juices escape.

Once you have wrapped it. Put it on a baking sheet. And roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Once you take it out cut and enjoy. As soon as you start cutting it you will start seeing the tenderness of this chicken.

It is so easy to shred. I also use it to make chicken salad and chicken sandwhiches. Serve with your favorite veggie ( i made honey glazed baby carrots) pour olive oil in a pan cut carrots in halves, drizzle pure honey and cook for 8-10 minutes.

and Taddah! You have a delish easy healthy meal your baby will love!
