Class of 2013

On Sunday we went to a Graduation BBQ. My cousin in law Yasmin graduated from High School. I always like to think outside the box and give creative DIY gifts. Normally you give the Graduate money. I didn't want to just stick it in a plain envelope so instead I did this.

It's very simple and easy to make. All you need is a frame ( I bought mine from the Dollar store). Ribbon, Construction Paper, Glue, scissors, marker, and you can either type it up or write it in the frame.

Glue the words " In case of emergency, break glass".

Add so ribbon for decoration, and glue a piece of construction paper where the money will be.

Place the money and write a lil note. You can also add anything else you wish to embellish the frame.

I wrapped it up in Tissue paper and tied a hello kitty bow.

I also added the college logo for decoration. She will be attending Wake Forest this fall. Congrats Yasmin!

Chalking

Last weekend my nieces Rajaa & Nawal came over and we did some sidewalk chalking. I try to do it every month for baby Z's month-a-versary.. It was a hot hot day. We put Zara in her bikini and this was the result.
This is Baby Z trying to cool off with her Mickey fan. She's making sure we do a good job.
We added some of her favorite things at 9 months like Cheetos, Turkey, and a polkadot bikini since she loves the pool! She also has 9 Teeth.

These are some of the past months we have done...

1st Passport

Hi everyone. I know it's been long since I posted! So many things have happened that I have missed. I've been super busy, but I am so happy that I have finally found the Birthday location for Zara's 1st Birthday Bash!! It's perfect. Zara and I have been busy attending our strolling mommas workouts, parks, crafting, chalking, and trying to stay cool in this crazy hot Florida weather. The other day we went for Zara's first passport picture to Walgreens.
Z was not a happy camper when the Walgreens clerk said " you need tho remove that from your head". What?! That is Zara's signature the Bow!
The next day we went to apply for her passport. It was federal employees family day so we were literally in and out in 30 minutes. Here is Zara waiting with abuelo and Daddy.
We should get her passport in a couple of weeks. :-)

"Disney'd Out"

So we just got back from Disney World! We went to celebrate Zara's 9 month Birthday! Are we the only parents that celebrate their child's monthly birthdays?

This was Baby Z's 2nd time in Disney! Yes you heard me right her 2nd time. We took her when she was 4 months old (she slept most of the time). Mommy and Daddy were more exited to go. My husband bought the annual passes and this time she actually enjoyed it! She got to eat with the characters, and went on all the rides with us.

She had so much fun with Daddy on the Aladdin ride

She had waffles for the first time, and is officially obsessed.

We had a lot of fun but Z was "Disney'd Out" by the end of our 3 day trip. We always get sad when we leave Disney.

Intro

Hi everyone! This is my first post after procrastinating about it since I was pregnant with Baby Z . My name is Janeth A. Naseer. I live in Florida.  I'm a full time SAHM. Wife of a amazing man named Mustafa (not Mufassa like the Lion King). I'm a first time mommy to Zara who just turned 9 months. I love spending every second of the day with her. I am so exited to share all of my ideas with other crafty mommas. From fashion, home decor, recipes, projects with the little ones, fitness and beauty secrets! Our life can be pretty interesting. I am in a interracial marriage and love it because Zara gets the best of  both wolds.I'd like to take you on a journey through the daily life of  Zara's Mommy.
