Healthy Halloween Snack

Banana Graveyard Ghosts and Clementine pumpkins

 

You will need:

Almond Butter ( you can also use peanut butter) 

Cheerios

Raisins

Clementines

Celery 

Organic Banana 

First cut bananas in half. You can use as many as you would like to make. I only made one because its only for Z.

Use Cheerios and raisins to make ghost face. 

Put some Cheerios in a ziplock bag and crush, crush, crush! This will be the graveyard dirt. This is a fun step to let your lil ones help. 

Next spread Almond butter at the bottom of the banana and stand on Cheerios dirt. Last peel clementines cut a small piece of celery and stick it on the whole. 

Last enjoy the snack! Z really enjoyed her snack. She kept on saying "Mas, Mas" which means more in Spanish. 🎃👻

Spooktacular Playdate

It's that time of the year again one of my favorite Holidays "Halloween". Pumpkin Patches, Costumes, Fall Playdates, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes!  Zara went to a Halloween Playdate Hosted by her friend Alex and her mom Yvette. It was so cute to see Zara and all her lil friends dressed up. Zara went as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader! ( only happens to be Mommys fave team) We met my Brother in Nashville and he brought her the cutest lil DCC dress from Dallas. 

So I paired it up with some Blue Pom Poms and of course her royal blue bow!

It was so fun they ate cupcakes, played with bubbles, did finger painting, and Halloween Crafts. It was also very fun for us Mommas. :-) 

I had one tired baby after the fun play date. 

DR. Seuss baby shower

We got invited to a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower a few weeks ago. Z loves Dr. Seuss books. I read them to her all the time. I had some leftover felt, and decided to make Z a thing 1 shirt! Remind you i decided to make this 4 hours before the party. I used an old red shirt that she wore for Valentines day and it still fits (minus the arm length) I picked this one because it had a red tutu attached to it. 

I was at my moms house so she helped. We first got a kitchen plate to trace a circle on white  felt. 

 Next we cut it. While she was cutting it I printed out a thing 1 picture searching the web. We used this to trace the letters onto black felt. 

We traced the letters onto white paper then glued the paper to black felt for easy cutting. My mom drew a black circle around the felt using craft paint so it can match the exact image. 

Remind you this is the day of the baby Shower with only 2 hours until the shower. I did not have Heat N Bond ( my life saver) since my mom does not believe in it. So I glue gunned each letter and number to the felt and left the sewing to the pro! My mom finished sewing the circle with a needle and red thread. And there we had it a adorable Thing 1 shirt.  

 I printed out a Thing 2 image as well so I decided to make a quick diaper cake out of Diapers that were too small for my Z and a pot. 

I then added red ribbon and taped the "Thing 2" sign on top. 

And now.... We were ready for the party!  

The baby shower was so much fun! Here are some photos I took. 

They even had real live fish as centerpieces! 

 

Z had so much Fun!!!!!! It also happened to be her first ever Baby Shower. 

"EAT MOR POLLO"

Happy Cow Appreciation Day! A few weeks ago was Zara's first cow day experience at Chick-Fil-A and it was great! I had no idea it was in June until  Hubby, Z, and I were driving I noticed a small child dressed like a cow. First thing that came to my mind was Chick-Fil-A! I was so upset as I wanted to make Z the cutest cow costume! I had no choice but to look in my craft box and so happy I was able to make it work. 

I used scraps of black felt from the Miami Heat Onesie I had made for her. I'm so glad I saved them. 

I used a white onesie, iron, Heat and Bond , scissors, and my glue gun for the onesie. 

I made some spots on the heat and bond  Paper. Then I stuck it to the black felt by using an iron to press it down. Some did not stick as good as I would of liked so I went back with my glue gun and made sure they stuck. Once I finished the onesie I made a sign by painting the words " eat mor pollo". Instead of the traditional " eat mor Chikin" I thought I would make it unique and different. And everyone knows what Pollo means! Ok, maybe not everyone.... It means chiken in Spanish. 

I then decided to use bunny ears as the cow ears. All I did was moved them down froma pair Z already had. I put a Tutu on Z, painted her nose with black eyeshadow, and Tada!! 

Then of course I had to put on pink glitter shoes that would match! It came out better than I thought and the best part about it was that I did not spend a dime! 

Z got so many compliments and was even tweeted back by the Chik Fil A corp!! I can't wait till next year. It's a new family tradition! I will make hubby and myself dress up too. Hey, you do get free  food. Zara had a blast. Chik Fil A is the only fast food she has ever had.
