Our first Paper Dress!

After seeing mayhems paper dresses we were so inspired and couldn't wait to make one!! We were also inspired by Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars so this is what we came up with.

I had to give Zara a lollipop and bribe her for one good pic! We had fun making it! She loves Mommys  purses.

Can't wait to make more! Thanks Angie and Mayhem for inspiring us.

Easiest Toddler Approved Chicken Pot Pie ever!

This is a toddler friendly and one of Zaras favorite! It's one of the easiest meals. It takes literally 5 minutes to prep (if your chicken is cooked) and 30 minutes to cook.  You will need

-Thawed Frozen Veggies
- 1 cup of cooked chicken
-  1 can cream of chicken
- 1 cup bisquick
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Any pie dish

First you pour the thawed veggies in the pie plate

Next you poor leftover chicken on top of the veggies. I didint have any leftover chicken so I cooked my chicken

Then poured it on top

Next you pour 1 can of cream of chicken and mix mix mix

In another bowl mix 1 cup of bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, and 1 egg. You can also use any ready made pie dough.

Pour this mixture in pie plate

Put in 400 temperature oven for 30 minutes.

While that is cooking you can make a side to go with it. I made some homade mashed potatoes . Boiled 1 1/2 cups of russet potatoes. Mashed with butter, salt, pepper, and warm milk.

30 minutes later

Zara loved her chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes.

It makes great leftovers for the next day!

Hula Girl Onesie Tutorial (late post)

I am so proud to be part of a group of mommas who are wonderful and have become great friends for me and Z. The momma who started the group "Strolling Mommas of Miami" is Tai Rodney and so sadly her and her family moved to Hawaii. So we planned a surprise party Hawaiian style! I decided to use my crafty tools ( felt, and scissors) and make Z a Hula Girl Onesie. I made it literally the night before at 11 pm when Z and the Hubby fell asleep.

Materials needed:
1. plain white onesie
2. different color felt
3. scissors
4. small cup or something circular
5. heat N bond or Glue Gun

I used the bottom of a small cup to trace perfect lil coconut circles.

I then bonded them in the chest area of the onesie.

I then cut 3 strips of orange felt one of them was the longer than the other.
I bonded them on the onesie to form a shape to bathing suit strings.

Next bond the coconut circles on top to complete your top.

For the grass skirt I used a full sheet of green felt and simply cut strips making it look like a skirt. Make sure to leave room on top for flowers.

Next bond the skirt to the onesie. If needed cut end to measure onesie.

Last, draw some flowers and cut them with any color felt . Bond them to the top of the skirt and your baby is  ready to Hula!

Z was ready for the party!

Aloha, Tai and Kassandra!! you will be missed!!!

Using the same felt i made lil hula skirts for the party cups. So simple just cut strips then glue gun them to the cup. Add an umbrella and you got yourself a "hula cup".

NOVEMBER (late post)

This year was Z's second thanksgiving. She got to enjoy it more than her first one because she got to actually sit at the table with all of us and eat Turkey!!

We started of the day by waking up and watching the Parade on TV. It was Daddy's day off and Z loves cuddling with him in the mornings.

While They watched the parade I made Z a morning snack with her favorite fruits! It is so simple just arrange the fruits in this form and you have an adorable edible Turkey.

                                                                 She gobbled it up.

We then made turkey cookies. 4 simple ingredients sugar cookies, candy corn, m&m's, and frosting.

This year Z was a pilgrim. She wore a onesie made my myself. It was so hard to find a brown plain onesie with no wording. I literally went to every children's store. I couldn't fine any so I ended up buying a boys onesie. Nothing a brown sharpie can't fix! I colored the green words with brown maker and "tada" it was fixed.

I used white felt for the bib, black for the bow, and black and gold for the belt. I had all this left over from her bat-girl Halloween costume.  It was so simple, I used heat n bond to glue it on. I bought her a lil pilgrim hat from party city and she was the cutest lil pilgrim I ever did see!

We were now on our way to Abuelo and Abuela's house as Z calls my parents. Every year we go there in the afternoon and start preparing for the dinner which is at 8 pm. Every year we make different table name cards this year my sister and I made everyone trace their hands and we colored turkey hands. They came out too cute!

It was funny to see everyone's hand and Zara's was the cutest lil one.

Zara enjoyed her Turkey dinner so much! Can't wait for next Thanksgiving!

Her and Henry were turkey'd out by the end of the night.
So hard to believe this was Zs fist thanksgiving
